ART INSTALLATION DESIGN & PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Art Installation in the lobby of Granite Place at Southlake Townsquare, 2017

Southlake, TX USA

Artwork Budget: $153,000

in collaboration with Wimberley Glassworks and Beck Architecture

This serpentine fusion of Venetian plaster and handmade ribbons of emerald and silver blue glass spans 103 feet, sits over 30 feet wide and is made of 132 individual pieces. The goal of this piece was to invite people through the lobby, into the full breadth of the space. This piece was integrated by working with the architectural team from the beginning, to design an architectural feature that would incorporate the glass and the lighting. This integration was important because it gave the piece the flowing river feel the client was looking for.
